This site has been many things since I purchased the domain in June 2003, including a site collective, a personal site and a place to house my sites created during my education to become a teacher. Now, however, I will be using it to showcase my photos.
I have been taking pictures since high school when I took a photography class and fell in love with the process. I in no way consider myself a professional. Instead, I see myself as an amateur photographer who is still learning about the craft. Since digital photography has become popular, I have taken more and more photos as you can edit them right on the spot. In terms of cameras, I have two Canon digital cameras - a Powershot S2 IS I bought for the zooming capabilities and a PowerShot SD 950 IS I bought for the megapixels. My hope is to save up for an SLR camera and take my pictures to the next level; combining the ease of digital pictures with what I loved about my class in high school - the manual control. If you have an SLR and would like to share your thoughts on it with me to help me make my decision please visit the Contact section.
The photos are taken on the many trips I have taken (mostly day trips) around the region in which I live, the Northwest, and other places. I enjoy have photographs to remember my experiences and to capture the natural wonder I see around me. As of now, my images are simply for looking at. In the future, I would like to make them available for download for a small fee. If you are interested in this, please go to the Contact section and check buying images when you send me a message. I would also love to have feedback and thoughts on my photographs.
